Terms of service
Last updated: August 28, 2026
These terms govern your use of this website and any order you place with Pure Living Water, LLC, doing business as Living Water ("we", "us"). By placing an order you agree to them.
1. Who we sell to
We sell to customers in the United States who are at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract. Most of what we sell is commercial coffee equipment bought by businesses, but we're glad to sell to individuals on the same terms.
2. Orders
Placing an order is an offer to buy, not a completed sale. The sale is formed when we confirm the order and charge your payment method.
We may decline or cancel an order — and will refund you in full if we do — when an item is out of stock, when we can't verify your payment or shipping details, when we suspect fraud or resale in violation of these terms, or when a price or description was posted in error.
Complete systems are built to order. We assemble and test each one for you, which is why the return terms treat them differently from filter packs.
3. Prices and errors
Prices are in U.S. dollars and can change without notice. The price that applies to your order is the one shown at checkout.
Prices don't include sales tax or shipping; both are calculated at checkout. Shipping rates are in our Shipping Policy.
We try hard to keep the store accurate, but descriptions, specifications, images, availability and prices may contain errors. If an item's price or description is wrong, we may cancel the order and refund you in full, even after you've received a confirmation. We are not obliged to sell at an incorrect price.
4. Payment
Payment is due in full at checkout. Payments are handled by our payment providers; we don't store your full card number. You confirm you're authorized to use the payment method you enter.
5. Shipping, title and risk
Shipping terms, transit times and delivery problems are covered in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Title and risk of loss pass to you on delivery by the carrier. Damage in transit is handled under the Shipping and Return policies rather than left with you.
6. Returns
Returns and refunds are covered by our Return and Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: 30 days, return shipping is yours, complete systems carry a 15% restocking fee and must be unopened and uninstalled, and anything defective or wrong is entirely on us.
7. Installation and service
Equipment sold through this store is sold as equipment only. Installation, plumbing and ongoing service are a separate arrangement, handled directly and available only in our service area (see our Shipping Policy for the counties we cover). Nothing you buy online includes installation.
You are responsible for having equipment installed correctly, in compliance with local plumbing and building codes, and for the maintenance and filter changes the manufacturer specifies.
8. Product warranty
Complete systems carry a one-year warranty from the date you receive the shipment. It covers parts — the individual components that make up the system — and workmanship, meaning the quality of the labor used to assemble it.
Filters and membranes are not covered. Filter and membrane failures are handled case by case; contact us and we'll work it out with you.
The warranty covers the original purchaser and doesn't transfer if the equipment is sold on.
How we handle labor
The warranty covers the part. How it gets fitted depends on where you are.
Inside our Southern California service area, we come out and do the work ourselves, at no charge, for a defect covered by this warranty. (That's different from an ordinary service call, which we quote normally.)
Everywhere else, we diagnose the problem with you first, then ship the replacement part at no charge. You arrange the installation. If the repair needs a licensed plumber, contact us before you book one — we'll agree what we put toward that labor in advance. We can't reimburse a bill we didn't agree to beforehand.
What the warranty doesn't cover
The warranty covers defects in parts and workmanship. It doesn't cover damage caused by how a system is fed or run, including:
- Feed water pressure or temperature outside the system's rated range.
- Water chemistry the system wasn't sized for — sediment, chlorine, or a feed TDS beyond what the system was specified for.
- Freezing.
- Running a system beyond its rated daily volume.
- Missed or late filter and membrane changes, or any other maintenance the manufacturer's manual calls for that wasn't done.
It also doesn't cover:
- Installation that didn't follow the manufacturer's instructions or local plumbing code, or damage caused by whoever carried it out.
- Modification, unauthorized repair, or replacement parts we didn't approve.
- Normal wear — o-rings, seals, gaskets and cosmetic marks.
Each system is sized for the water and the volume you told us about. If either changes — a new location, a different water source, a much busier bar — call us before it turns into a failure.
To make a claim, contact us with your order number and a description of the problem. Your remedy under this warranty is repair or replacement of the affected part, at our option — see section 10, which limits our liability and excludes consequential damages such as lost business or water damage to your premises. Section 7 sets out what you are responsible for, and section 9 sets out what we don't promise about filtration performance.
Except for that warranty and any rights you have under California law that can't be waived, products are provided as is, and we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose to the extent the law allows.
9. What we don't promise
Filtration performance depends on your source water, your equipment and your maintenance. We don't guarantee a specific taste result, a specific reduction in any particular contaminant, or a specific service life for filters or membranes.
Nothing on this site is a health claim. See our Legal Notice.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability arising from an order is limited to the amount you paid for the item in question.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages — including lost profits, lost business, downtime, spoiled product or inventory, water damage to your premises or property, or damage arising from installation, misuse, or failure to maintain equipment. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited under California law.
11. Acceptable use
Don't use this site to break the law, to interfere with its operation or security, to scrape it systematically, or to resell our products in a way that misrepresents them as your own or as carrying our installation or service.
12. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it, and forms part of these terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Ventura County, California, and both of us consent to that venue.
Before filing anything, please contact us — nearly everything is faster to fix by phone.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in effect when you place an order is the one that governs it, so the "last updated" date above matters.
